Stakkato Gold

 Stakkato Gold – that means modern jumper breeding in a nutshell: He reached international recognition in shows and as a sire while he was still young. He was the best jumper stallion at the Hanoverian licensing in Verden in 2003. He again proved his outstanding talent for jumping at the 30-day test in Prussendorf in 2004 where he was awarded the maximum score of 10.0 several times. In his very first show season in 2005, Stakkato Gold won and placed with the best in tests for young show jumpers. He continued in 2006, again winning or placing near the top up to medium (M) level and qualified for the Bundeschampionat. Later he was highly successful at advanced (S***) level. In 2009 he won the final of the Youngster Tour in Neumünster under Jan Sprehe and placed in many competitions, e.g. in Dortmund, Nörten-Hardenberg, Assen/Netherlands, Oldenburg and Gera.

Up to now, 18 sons are licensed, among them are Sacipont JV, Seal, Self Control, Sir Obolensky Z, his full brother Sacramento Gold, Solid Gold Z, Springfield, Stargold, Stalido, San Giovanni and Star Capitol. Sir Obolensky Z was second reserve champion for jumping in Westphalia in 2014 and moved, just like Solid Gold Z in 2013 before, to Zangersheide stud. In 2015 Sir Obolensky's full brother Sacramento Gold became as well reserve champion in Westphalia (sold for 155,000 Euro to Russia). Additionally in 2015, Stakkato Gold presented an extraordinary premium stallion named Springfield in Vechta. His offspring from the first crops is now found very often in show jumping and a remarkably high number of them wins in tests for young show jumpers, whereby some also qualified for the Bundeschampionat. In the meantime, over 42 of his offspring (163 competing offspring in Germany) are now found winning in advanced (S) level show jumping, even internationally, among them are Salto de Fee/Hilmar Meyer, Sansibar 89/Henrik von Eckermann, Saskia/André Sakakini, Selena/Christian Heineking, Stagoldina/Ina von Bormann, Sam 848/Heino Möller, the licensed Seal/Josef-Jonas Sprehe, Stakki’s Jumper/Jörne Sprehe, Startlight and KS Stakki/Reed Kessler – already at five-star level. Special mention deserves Stakorado, who could win twice World Cup competitions in fall 2017 under the Polish flag.  His outstanding breeding record in every respect, combined with a world-class pedigree and a fabulous performance record, laid the foundation to award the title “Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 2015” and induced even the Holsteiner Verband to approve him.

In 2012, his sire Stakkato dominated the FN's predicted breeding value statistics for show jumpers for the twelfth time in a row. With Eva Bitter in the saddle, Stakkato won the 1998 Hanoverian Show Jumping Championships of Dobrock and the Bundeschampionat in Warendorf. In 2003 as well as 2010 the duo took the German Champion title in show jumping in the class for ladies, the 2004 Vice Champion title and competed successfully for Germany in Nations Cups. Stakkato Gold’s dam Wertherröschen took second in the Grand Prix of Morssele (Belgium) under Edwina Alexander (Australia) and has won international ribbons with Billy Tworney (Ireland) in St. Tropez, Monaco and Cannes. The dam's sire Werther, the Hanoverian Stallion of the Year 1992, is one of the most successful sires nation wide because of his great versatility. The third generation dam Carmen was bred to Sandro Hit which resulted in St.Pr.A. See you, the 2003 Oldenburg State Champion, finalist in the Bundeschampionat and one of the highest priced horses at the Vechta Elite Auction. In the third generation you also find the Holstein Landgraf I son, Achill-Libero I H, who won the 1994 show jumping World Cup under Jos Lansink/Belgium. Calypso II, found in the fourth generation, again adds Holstein lines to the pedigree. He was one of the most significant sires in Germany and his offspring are distinguished by outstanding jumping ability as well as the highest rideability. Stakkato Gold comes from the Wendland jumper family of Alsterröschen (by Agram) and has been classically bred for performance in jumping in every single generation. The significant Hanoverian dam line 762/S. 311516939 (by Alex-Springborn-Morgenrot III) is also the origin of the stallions Consulting (private stallion Oldenburg), Dirano, Grandom and Lentimus (private stallion Hanover), Dömitz II (Belgium), Dux Z (alias Don Rudolpho; private stallion Hanover, Rhineland, internationally successful under Franke Sloothaak), Gala Star Z (private stallion Hesse) as well as the internationally successful show jumpers Pirol/Peter and Helena Weinberg, Piko/Hauke Schmidt, Pur/Ulf Plate and Santana/Andreas Ripke as well as Hannah Robertson-Mytilineou/Greece.
