Once A Day
We imported Once A day from Germany in foal. She has a superb temperament and is a very good looking mare almost thoroughbred in type, very dark bay with no white at all.
She was presented for her performance test as a 3 year old and received very good marks with a 9 for her walk and 8s for her trot and canter and nothing below 7. She gained 52 points, enough for State Premium but she only had a 7 for type (too much blood) which must be an 8 for State Premium. She had previously had a foal in Germany and has produced a stunning filly foal in 2005, Millfield Contentious by Contender which will be retained by us for breeding. She has been successfully shown in 2005 being 2nd at Otley in the Hunter Class and 1st at Bramham in the Broodmare class likely to produce a 3day event horse.
She has produced a stunning colt , Millfield baloney by Balou De Rouet (Baloubet De Rouet) born in March 2006.
We are devastated to have lost Once a Day in a tragic accident, however we still have her superb daughter to continue our breeding programme with.

Kanudos xx 1989 Holsteiner, TrakehnerKanudos is a thoroughbred who was graded with the Holsteiner Verband and stood in Germany before going to Denmark where he still stands and has competed at advanced level in dressage. At his grading his marks were all 8s for his paces which were described as extremely good.
Dam:
Zylindera 1988 HolsteinOnce A Day\'s dam Zylindera is by Lago Maggiore who was an Interational 3day eventer for Germany and a son of the famous Landgraf. Her grand dam is by Mahmud who features in the pedigrees of many great horses like Cassini. Her great grand dam Elga who is by the thoroughbred Korenbleem produced Santa Strings who was the dam of Elmshorn a famous show jumping stallion that has produced many top jumpers. Once A Day descends from the Stamm 890 which has produced approved stallions such as Casall, Capone, Czanol and top show jumpers Eurocommerce Berlin and Crocodile Dundy.
